Fayoum Tourism Authority announced on Tuesday the death of Evelyne Porret, known as 'The lady of Tunis Village.'

The Swiss artist that lived in Tunis Village in Fayoum since the mid eighties was a key mentor of pottery and the founder of Fayoum Pottery School in the village, the authority said.

Egypt has lost an inspiring artist and human, and a woman that was a mentor to several generations of indigenous artists of Tunis village.
