The creative caravan is organised in cooperation with the Children National Centre.

Heading to the Youth Centre today, the caravan aims to provide creative activities to the children living in Qalioubiya, located in the Nile Delta.

The caravan will offer workshops in plastic arts, including origami and recycling arts.

Through additional cooperation with the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, the caravan will also offer drawing workshops, Quran reciting and poetry reading by Mohamed Abul Kheir.

The culture ministry's caravan comes within the framework of Hayah Karima (Decent Life) initiative, a national project that comprises a series of countryside-focused national infrastructure projects.

In April 2021, Culture Minister Ines Abdel-Dayem announced the ministry's intention to join hands with the initiative which was followed by the organisation of convoys providing artistic activities to the most empoverished areas in Egypt. Carried out by the ministry's mobile theatres, the activities included plays for young audiences, as well as a series of workshops and storytelling, in addition to other art forms.

Decent Life was first initiated in 2019 by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi who tasked the Ministry of Social Solidarity with developing Egypt’s poorest 1,000 villages.

In December 2020, El-Sisi expanded the initiative to include 4,500 villages within the framework of the Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt's Vision 2030.
