Italian Cinema

Cinema Zawya, Odeon cinema, 15 Emad El Deen St, Cairo downtown
For two weeks, Zawya is showing a diverse selection of recent Italian productions, as well as an hommage to the radical artist, poet and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini, on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Everyday Nile exhibition
The exhibition continues until 20 July
Goethe Institut Kairo, Cairo downtown, 5 El Boustan St.
Nine photographers and journalists from the Nile Basin countries collaborated to monitor and collect different stories, the heroes of which live on the river bank and in countries that depend on the Nile. Everyday Nile is not limited to showcasing just beautiful pictures, but it also shares real life stories, supported by pictures and documented through numbers and studies.

Dance Performance: The Wizard of Oz

Based on the famed fantasy novel by L. Frank Baum, the performance is a production by Centre Rézodanse Égypte

The comedy film’s events revolve around Sultan (Mohamed Emam), boxer and sports coach who is in a romantic relationship with Ghalia (Huda Al-Mufti). They find themselves saving the life of Hajj (Sayed Ragab), which leads to many other developments. 
The film stars Mohamed Emam, Sayed Ragab, Bassem Samra, Mohamed Salam, Huda Al Mufti.

“American Musicals”
Daturday 2 July, 8pm
Cairo Opera House, Fountain Theatre, Zamalek
A selection of best known songs from American musicals will be performed by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra with soloists Gala El-Hadidi (mezzo soprano), Elvira Maria Kalev (soprano), Amr Medhat (tenor) and A Cappella choir.

Interactive comedy show Ain Gamal

Ain Gamal is an improvisation and interactive comedy show by Omar El Gamal. The idea behind the show is to interact with the audience in one way or another so that the audience becomes part of the show.
