Egyptian Premier League champions Zamalek have signed Benin striker Samson Akinyoola from Venezuelan team Caracas FC, the club announced on Tuesday.
Zamalek posted a welcome message for the 22-year old forward on their social media accounts but did not reveal any details about the deal.
Football director Amir Mansour said last month that Zamalek had paid $900,000 to sign Akinyoola, with local reports suggesting that he had inked a three-year contract.
The diminutive yet physical striker started his senior career in Nigeria before moving to Slovakia's Senica in 2019 then to Caracas FC in 2021 where he reached his peak, scoring 28 goals in 67 games.
Defending champions Zamalek are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign following a two-window transfer ban.
Akinyoola is the White Knights' seventh summer arrival after Senegalese forward Ibrahima Ndiaye, Moroccan midfielder Zakaria El Wardi, Egyptian defenders Mostafa El-Zennari, Omar Gaber and midfielder Nabil Emad, and keeper Mohamed Sobhy.
