Mon 17, 7-8pm (Online event): "Nature in an Era of Crisis", this Gerhart Centre Webinar Series session will feature Marcelo Furtado, principal at Finance for Biodiversity (F4B). Furtado is a daring strategist, socio-environmental activist, and ESG and Impact Fund advocate. The session will discuss how markets, trade and the global economy have historically underpriced nature, leading to its unsustainable exploitation and inequitable outcomes, particularly for nature’s stewards, including indigenous groups and rural communities.
Wed 19, 7-8pm (Online event): "Climate Crisis and Women's Health: The Impact on Gender", join this session of the Gerhart Centre Webinar Series featuring Dr. Padmini Murthy, professor and global health director, New York Medical College, School of Health Sciences and Practice, chair, International Health Section - American Public Health Association, and global health lead, American Medical Women's Association.

Tues 18, 7pm: An encounter with French writer Pascale Bellamy and her first novel, The Hidden Temple of Zerzura, or the Epic of Amon Stone, published by Douro publishing House in 2021. The meeting will be moderated by Reem Hafez, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of the Applied Languages at Alexandria University, which will be followed by a signing session.
