Mon 21, 8pm: The hot, dusty air through the windows carries the cries of street vendors. A nasal voice sings the words of a popular tune, quickly superseded by the call to prayer. The smell of bread in the ovens mingles with that of heated skins and mangoes resting in the sun.

Hayatna (our life) contemporary dance show was born from this mixture of bodies and impressions, from this cohabitation between tradition and modern life. By appropriating iconic figures of contemporary Cairo, the performers take us on a poetic journey. Touching on the beauty of the usual, this show is interested in the living and sensory place that objects and places occupy, in their emotions and their daily life.
