The task of killing the Caliph turns into a journey full of surprises, its events escalate and intertwine in a breathtaking manner that provokes laughter and tears, and Shehata is always having a way for every impasse. Fe Hetta Tanya (somewhere else) play is performed by Turquoise Casting Studio casting aspiring young actors, doing different sketches about, firstly, the weddings and how money is spent to show only the image without knowing the insights of the fights happening between families, secondly, the contradiction we’ve been living in between men and women, thirdly, the way how trends can really affect normal people, and at last, the effects of social media and how it can really harm people’s minds (1 and 2 December, 7.30pm).

Al-Hafeed (The Grandson) play is an adaptation of author Abdel-Hamid Gouda Al-Sahar’s novel. It is a social comedy about the Egyptian family that suffers from the negative impact of customs and traditions on its members and their psychology. Helm Gamil (a beautiful dream), a musical produced by the Comedy Theatre Company based on Charlie Chaplin’s masterpiece. It tells the story of a vagabond who is touring the streets singing and dancing and suddenly he meets a rich man who is trying to committee suicide, he saves his life and took him to live at his home. It casts Sameh Hussein, Sara Derzawy, Ezzat Zein, Rasha Fouad and many more. Décor by Hazem Shebl, costumes designed by Naaima Agamy, choreography by Diaa Shafiq, and directed by Islam Imam
