Egypt's culture minister discusses cultural exchange with Iraqi ambassador

Minister of Culture Nevine El-Kilany met with Ambassador of Iraq to Egypt Ahmed Nayef Rashid Saleh on Thursday to discuss reinforcing cultural and artistic cooperation as well as Egypt's participation in the sixth edition of the Ancient Civilisations Forum in Baghdad from 4 to 6 December.

El-Kilany stressed the importance of consolidating bilateral relations between the two nations in various aspects of cultural cooperation such as publishing, exhibitions, and artistic festivals.

The two sides also discussed forming future partnerships in international events organised by the Ministry of Culture in Egypt.

During the meeting, Minister El-Kilany received an invitation from the Iraqi ambassador to participate in the sixth edition of the Ancient Civilisations Forum, which takes place in Baghdad from 4 to 6 December, with the participation of a number of countries, including Greece, China, Iran, Italy, Peru, Bolivia, Armenia, and Mexico.

The forum aims to preserve the cultural heritage of countries with ancient civilisations, discussing cooperation to protect and document their heritage and investment in cultural products.
