Thurs 8, 10am - 4pm: The AUC School of Business Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) strongly focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs using the social innovation approach. CEI is particularly interested in supporting potential female entrepreneurs to help reduce the gender gap in the Egyptian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Thus, the main objective of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is to celebrate stories of women entrepreneurs that drive economic expansion and advance communities around Egypt. The event will be interactive and filled with many activities and workshops, so come to celebrate this day to advocate for more significant support of women and to educate leaders on the social and economic benefits of women’s entrepreneurship. The day introduces among other women entrepreneurs: Dina Dash, CEO of DASH Management, Farah Wali, founder and owner of Maison, Sham Al Zahabi, founder of Dao Derma, May Abdel-Asim, Founder and CEO of What Women Want magazine, and Yasmine Helal, founder of Educate Me.

Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hussein Abaza, senior advisor at the Egyptian Minister of Environment.

Sun 11, 6pm: An encounter with poet and Senghor University’s student Sarita Cynthia Pierre, to present her collection of poems titled, Fragments d'Haïti et autres poèmes. The first part of the poems is embodied as a poignant witness to the reality of Haïti on themes of patriotism, and natural disaster.
