Al-Qawmi (The National) Theatre

Al-Hafeed (The Grandson) play is an adaptation of author Abdel-Hamid Gouda Al-Sahar’s novel. It is a social comedy about the Egyptian family that suffers from the negative impact of customs and traditions on its members and their psychology. The play casts actors Lucy, Abed Enany, Tamer Farag, Mohamed Mabrouk, Rana Khattab and many more, with music composed by Karim Arafa, lighting designed by Hazem Ahmed, décor built up by Hamdy Attiya, and directed by Youssef Al-Mansour (Performances run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, 9pm).
Qasr El Nile Theatre

Wala Fel Ahlam (beyond your dreams), a romantic comedy written by Ibrahim Maurice, with décor designed by Mohamed El-Gharabawy, dance shows choreographed by Sally Ahmed, costumes designed by Marwa Aouda, and directed by Hany Afify. The actions take place in the 60’s. Two brothers create a chemical potion allowing them to escape reality and reach their wildest dreams (Performances run on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 2 February to 19 March, 8pm).

Helm Gamil (a beautiful dream), a musical produced by the Comedy Theatre Company based on Charlie Chaplin’s masterpiece. It tells the story of a vagabond who is touring the streets singing and dancing and suddenly he meets a rich man who is trying to committee suicide, he saves his life and took him to live at his home. It casts Sameh Hussein, Sara Derzawy, Ezzat Zein, Rasha Fouad and many more. Décor by Hazem Shebl, costumes designed by Naaima Agamy, choreography by Diaa Shafiq, and directed by Islam Imam

Love in the Time of Cholera play is based on Nobel prize winner Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez’s novel carrying the same name. The play casts actors Dina Ahmed, Mohamed Farid, Aya Khalaf, Mahmoud El-Betar and many more, with music composed by Walid El-Shahawi, lighting designed by Ezz Helmy, décor built up by Mina Reda, new theatrical vision by Mina Bebawy and directed by Al-Said Mansy (Performances run daily until 4 March, 7.30pm).
