The 30-year-old winger scored his team's 4th and 6th goals in the historic victory against United, taking his tally of goals to 129 and surpassing Robbie Fowler's tally of 128 Premier League goals.
"I am always happy to score in big games. I hope to continue breaking records, but the most important thing is to win matches and trophies for the club. It is a great result, but we must remain focused until the rest of the season," he added.
Salah's accomplishments didn't stop there. He also became the first Liverpool player to score in six consecutive appearances in all competitions against Manchester United.
Furthermore, he has been directly involved in 30 goals for Liverpool this season (22 goals, 11 assists) in all competitions. He is the only Premier League player to have double figures for both goals and assists in 2022-23.
