Marmoush intercepted Yannick Gerhardt's pass on the edge of the box before firing a powerful shot into the back of the net in the 56th minute, securing all three points for the home side.

The result propelled Wolfsburg to seventh place in the table with 38 points, just two points below the European spots. Meanwhile, Stuttgart remain at the bottom of the 18-team table with 20 points after 25 games.

Marmoush, who spent last season on loan at Stuttgart, has been in red-hot form of late, scoring four goals and providing one assist in his last four consecutive starts. This latest goal takes his Bundesliga tally to five in 24 games.

The 24-year-old forward is set to join the Egypt squad for their upcoming double-header against Malawi in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
