The funeral ceremony is being held after Monday’s noon prayer at El-Sayeda Nafisa Mosque, the Actors Syndicate confirmed.

The Premier Ballet Academy graduate launched her acting career with Nadia Salem’s Saheb El Edara Bawab El Omara in 1985.

She became among the familiar faces of comedy in the past two decades with dozens of appearances in films like El-Nazer, Bank El-Haz, El-Ens Wel-Nems, Wahed Tany, and El-Baad La Yazhab Lel Mazon Maarten.

She also made remarkable appearances in several recent TV series, including Nelly & Sherihan and Mawdo Aely.

She portrayed the character of Former Prime Minister of Israel Golda Meir in Harb El Gawasis and Al Ameel 1001.

Many actors and filmmakers have mourned her departure, including actors Ashraf Zaki, Donia Samir Ghanem, Akram Hosni, Mohamed Thawat and Samaa Ibrahim.
